Setup & Configuration Guide

Overview

Interactive World Maps Pro supports up to 50 regions, 3 display modes, 16 region presets, click actions (URLs and content panels), per-region colour overrides, state/province resolution, and a clickable region list.

Getting Started

  1. Open any page in the HubSpot editor.
  2. Search for Interactive World Maps in the module panel.
  3. Drag it onto your page and click to configure.

Pro-Only Fields

Map Configuration (Pro additions)

Field What it does
Map Region 16 presets: World, Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania, US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Brazil, India, China, Japan.
Map Resolution Countries (default), States/Provinces, or Metropolitan Areas.
Display Mode Coloured Regions (fill areas), Markers (circles at locations), or Text Markers.
Keep aspect ratio Maintain the map's natural proportions when resizing.
Enable magnifying glass zoom Show a zoom icon for detailed exploration.

Map Regions (Pro additions per region)

Field What it does
Custom Colour Override the default active colour for this specific region.
Click Action No action, Open URL, Open URL (new tab), or Show content panel.
URL The destination URL when using a URL click action.
Content Panel Rich text shown in a panel when this region is clicked.

Content Panel Settings

Field What it does
Panel Position Below map, Right side (1/3 width), or Overlay on map.
Show region list Display clickable region buttons below the map.

Tips

  • Colour coding: Use per-region colours to create a heat map effect — darker for higher values, lighter for lower.
  • Mixed actions: Some regions can open URLs while others show content panels on the same map.
  • Region list: Enable for accessibility — visitors can click buttons instead of finding small regions on the map.
  • Marker coordinates: Right-click any location in Google Maps and copy the coordinates.
